UNH Occupational Therapy Student Project

By Sara Nadeau

Carriage Hill partnered with three University of New Hampshire seniors for an Occupational Therapy project in the month of November with assistance from residents and resident family members. The student’s project, based on interviews, focused on the concerns and challenges residents face adjusting to an assisted living environment. The project will result in a resource guide for residents, their family members and the residence on how best to assist residents in facing and overcoming those concerns and challenges to facilitate their adjustment.

Carriage Hill wishes to thank the three students involved in this project. We look forward to seeing the resulting guide. Look for the guide to be published on our website in late December or January. The guide will be given to all incoming residents and their family members and will be available on our website as a resource for any seniors and their family members considering assisted living.
